The Facing the Shadow group will help you achieve sobriety and deep your recovery. The group provides the tools, strategies and knowledge necessary to stop unwanted sexual behavior. Your band of brothers will provide support and accountability for taking action as you implement your recovery blueprint.

There are decades of research on sexual recovery. We know the path to sobriety and a deeper recovery: accept the 30-Task challenge and get started, with support of your group buddies.
Set boundaries that are personal to your sobriety.
Identify cravings and how to resist them.
Analyze your pattern of acting out, whether it be sexual or with other addictive substances or behaviors.
Build and enforce an ongoing defensive system for preventing relapse.
Address the roots that lead to acting out behaviors as a way of managing your life.
Overcome changes in the brain that work against long-term recovery.
Take ownership of the harm done to loved ones.
Learn about the impact of partner betrayal trauma on your spouse. Begin to respond in ways that help your partner heal.
Meet the needs in your relationship in healthy ways, rather than medicating as an alternative to medicating with acting out behaviors.
This group is led by Dr. Anthony Walker. Anthony is a seasoned recovery coach who works both nationally and internationally. He is a Help.Her.Heal facilitator and is ERCEM (Early Recovery Couples Empathy Model) trained.
He brings particular expertise in the impact of addiction and betrayal on your spouse and family and incorporates that as part of the recovery group focus.

Structured, work-group for Partners who have experienced betrayal trauma and are dealing with acute and/or chronic illness or disease processes. Learn how to manage symptoms and trigger responses and support growth by implementing concepts and working through strategies shared in Bessel van der Kolk’s The Body Keeps the Score and Janina Fisher's Transforming the Living Legacy of Trauma.
This psychoeducational group is a tool to help you navigate healing from developmental, family-of-origin, and other life trauma that results in Complex-Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. It is designed to complement on-going individual therapy.
