About Laura · I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas and offer online sessions for counseling and intensives. I am a partner advocate with a heart for those who have experienced betrayal trauma in a relationship and am honored to work with you regardless of relationship status, meeting you where you are on your path back to self through boundaries, self-trust, addressing grief, and clarity around wants and needs.

"I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each of my client’s individual needs to help attain the personal and/or post-traumatic growth they are striving for and provide a nurturing, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where the full range of emotions can be explored all through a lens of integrity, curiosity, and compassion. Reach out and we will talk through where you are in your journey and see if I am a good fit to collaborate with you."

As a CSAT Candidate, I understand how unwanted sexual behaviors can become addictive. I have a particular interest in dealing with the immediate and longer-term impact on the family, working with you to address parenting concerns for teens, young adults, and adult children as well as working directly with Adult Children of Sex Addicts who often experience issues with life and relationships.

I am a Certified Clinical Disclosure Guide-candidate and help partners identify disclosure needs and prepare for the professional disclosure, guide the formal disclosure process, and prepare for the Partner Impact Statement afterward. As a trauma therapist and health coach, I have expertise in how your body and health bear the burden of betrayal. I facilitate Intensive Recovery Healing’s the Body Bears the Burden of Betrayal and Married (or sharing custody), But Parenting Alone online workshops and groups.

If you have experienced the discovery of a spouse or significant other’s infidelity, problematic sexual behavior, or issue of integrity, you no doubt have lots of questions but your anxiety may be too high to make sense of your dilemma. You may be experiencing sleep issues, your appetite may be different, and you may even find that you are easily startled or quick to anger – the gravity of the grief you are experiencing is without compare.

I understand the powerful and sometimes baffling feelings that arise and are present within the grieving process so work with others on this path as well.

Additionally, I have experience in working with a range of emotional and behavioral issues and providing services that span from assistance in navigating the healthcare process and providing support and resources for chronic and terminal illnesses, lifestyle behavior change, and self-regulation/stress-management training to grief counseling and beyond.
